This regiment, facing by rear rank, was engaged here about 5 p.m. April 6, 1862. After a short engagement the enemy withdrew and this regiment continued its retreat to 41st Ill. camp.

Marker is on Eastern Corinth Road 0.2 miles south of Corinth-Pittsburg Road, on the right when traveling north.
