This regiment was engaged here at 10.30 a.m. April 7, 1862. It advanced 500 yards, was driven back to this place, and after several movements it advanced again to the Hamburg Road.
Marker is on Eastern Corinth Road 0.2 miles south of Corinth-Pittsburg Road, on the left when traveling south.
