49. L&N Railroad

L&N Railroad Depot. 5003 Henry Street. 1909. Frame Vernacular. The first depot was built on this site in 1882, the same year the
railroad was completed in Milton.
It burned in 1909, and the current
building was built the same year.
The Depot served both Bagdad
and Milton, and had daily trains to
Pensacola and other regional
cities. The depot provided train
service until the 1960s. The L&N
Depot was added to the National Register of Historic Places on -= October 29, 1982.
