62. St. Mary's Episcopal Church

St. Mary's Episcopal Church. 6842 Oak Street. 1875. Gothic Revival. St. Mary's was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on May 6, 1982. The church is an excellent example of Gothic Revival style with its original Latin cross footprint, gabled roofs with suppressed transepts. Also, visible from the exterior is the board and batten cladding and stained glass windows, of which the majority dates from 1915. The buttressed columns and pilasters with the jigsaw, and handhewn double barge-boards on the main entrance are dominating historic elements of this building.
