Town of Clinton, New Jersey

Once Hunts Mills. Site of saw, grist and oil mills. Re-named Clinton in 1828 honouring Governor DeWitt Clinton, sponsor of the Erie Canal. Incorporated 1865.

Marker is on Leigh Street, on the right when traveling north.
