Allingham House

In the early 1900s a cobbler shop operated on this site. It burned down or was torn down and Allingham house was moved onto the site between 1910-1912. Sisters, Alma and Lola Allingham lived here until at least the late 1940s. They were daughters of Linn County pioneers William and Sarah Allingham. Alma was Coburg’s ‘post mistress’ from 1916 until 1943. Her Sister Lola was assistant postmaster for the same period.
