Ancient Mounds Trail

Balmoral has 3 mounds that form an equilateral triangle. The one on this side of the road is 8 feet high and conical. The one farthest south and across the road is an 11 foot high platform mound. The one to the north of it is 9 feet high and conical. The site dates to approximately AD 1000.

Marker is at the intersection of U.S. 65 and Garden Road (State Road 888), on the right when traveling north on U.S. 65.
