Baruch Home
On this site stood the birthplace and boyhood home of Bernard M. Baruch (1870-1965), financier, philanthropist, and adviser to presidents. He was instrumental in establishing the Camden Hospital, with opened in 1913, as a tribute to his father, Dr. Simon Baruch, surgeon in the Confederate Army and later a pioneer in medicine in New York.
Marker is at the intersection of Broad Street (U.S. 521) and Walnut Street, on the right when traveling south on Broad Street.
