Bear Mt. Bridge

It opened in 1924.

At the time it was the

worlds longest

suspension-bridge

at 2,257 feet.

It was built by the

Harriman family

in 1910, and sold

to NYS in 1940.

Marker can be reached from New York Route 9 W, on the right when traveling north.
