Beech Bottom Fort
Near here stood Beech Bottom
Fort, which was with Fort Pitt
and Fort Henry in the group
of posts guarding the western
borders during the Revolution
and its attendant Indian wars.
Troops from Fort Pitt helped
garrison this important fort.
Marker is at the intersection of West Virginia Route 2 and Park Avenue, on the right when traveling south on State Route 2.
