Noah and James Burr, Jr. donated this land for a burial ground. Over 1,400 men, women & children are interred including many of the areas first settlers. Veterans include: Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, WWI & II, Korea & Vietnam. The oldest surviving tombstone is that of Nathaniel W. Knapp, (1797)
Marker is at the intersection of Pepper Street and Green Street, on the right when traveling north on Pepper Street.
