Bldg. 13 UWF Anthropology
Occupied in 1967, the building was designed for change, initially housing the science faculties, their respective laboratories, and the lecture auditorium. The design worked, as this building has been through a series of renovations over the years.
The science lecture auditorium was pulled out in front of the building to accommodate large classes. The sight lines are clear for lectures, with hard surfaces all around for reflecting sound.
The design of architects Marshall and MacNeil, the white cement and bush-hammered concrete exterior once boasted a standing-seam copper roof, which was replaced after sustaining hurricane damage.
Currently Building 13 houses the Departments of Anthropology/Archaeology and Environmental Studies.
