Bldg. 74, 75, 76 UWF Dodson Complex
The College of Business Complex, occupied in 1978, required a demanding building program calling for a classroom and lecture room facility with the capability to expand one-into-the-other via floor to ceiling panels separating them. The plan also included a separate, but connected, faculty office facility, convenient to the whole.
The architects, Marshall and MacNeil, fit the complex into the hillside and connected the two buildings with an eye-catching, curved glass-covered ramp. Separate, but part of the complex, was the vending area, partway between the two major buildings allowing access to others passing through.
The complex is now the Dodson College of Business Complex, named after Pat Dodson (1926-1975), a UWF Board of Regents member and founder of the ad agency that designed the iconic neon Bill Fish sign that welcomes visitors to Pensacola Beach.
