Blessed Virgin of Pompeii Church

West and across the street stood Milwaukee's first landmark, Blessed Virgin of Pompeii Church, built by the Italian community. Known as the Little Pink Church, 1904-1967.

Blessed Virgin of Pompeii Church, built in 1904 as the first church edifice of the Milwaukee Italian community. Designated by the Milwaukee Landmarks Commission as a Landmark of the City of Milwaukee, 1967.

Marker is at the intersection of the Van Buren Street Exit 1E Ramp of I-794 and Jackson Street, on the right when traveling east on the Van Buren Street Exit 1E Ramp of I-794.
