Brimskill Building
Built by Edward Brimskill 1849-1851. Rear section built 1849. Iron shutters a protection from fire and robbers, imported from Scotland. Used in early days as general store and miners supply. Wells Fargo maintained desk room here for many years and shipped thousands of dollars of gold from here. One of the best preserved buildings in California of the gold rush era.
