Bryan Grimes
1828–1880
Major General, Confederate Army. His service spanned the Peninsula Campaign to Appomattox. Family plantation called “Grimesland,” was here.
Marker is at the intersection of State Highway 33 and Grimes Farm Road (County Road 1569), on the left when traveling west on State Highway 33.
