Cottage, 1911: Home, 1932
The summer cottage was built on the honeymoon camp site of Ray S. and Theo P. Owen; the connected house was added to serve the family year around. Owen, professor of Civil Engineering, University of Wisconsin, was a charter member of the Village Board of Monona. The Owen family was part of the early community of the Frost Woods neighborhood in Monona.
Marker is at the intersection of Winnequah Road and Owen Road, on the right when traveling south on Winnequah Road.
