Buttonwood

Built in 1840 by Rev. Arthur B. Bradford, descendant of Wm. Bradford of the Mayflower. Powerful abolishinist, consul to China, prolific author, minister, and a founder of the Free Presbyterian Church. Many famous abolishinists met here in the 1850 era.

Marker is on Bradford Road 0.2 miles west of Hollow Road (Pennsylvania Route 551), on the left when traveling west.
