Café on the Route

Route 66 Roadside Attraction

Built circa 1870, the café was formerly the Crowell Bank, which Jesse James robbed in 1876. It is currently a restaurant and bed and breakfast.

Recognized by Hampton Hotels Save-A-Landmark program as a site worth seeing.

Marker is at the intersection of Military Avenue (U.S. 69) and 11th Street, on the right when traveling south on Military Avenue.
