Campaign of 1781
Two miles north, near the mouth of Willis River, Steuben camped, June 5-6, 1781, when driven from Point of Fork by Simcoe.
Marker is at the intersection of Cartersville Road (Virginia Route 45) and Ampthill Road, on the left when traveling north on Cartersville Road.
