Disinterred near this village on Oct. 16, 1869. Represented as a petrified prehistoric man, it was subsequently proved a hoax.
Marker is at the intersection of Cherry Valley Turnpike (U.S. 20) and Field Lane, on the right when traveling east on Cherry Valley Turnpike.
