Charles A. Lindberg

On May 20, 1927, Charles A. Lindberg embarked on a daring trans-Atlantic flight from this spot. He arrived in France 33 hours and 30 minutes later, after flying 3,610 miles nonstop. This revolutionary flight between New York and Paris popularized and helped make aviation the integral part of our world that it is today.
