City of Corning
Erastus Corning and others
began a community here in
1835. It incorporated as a
village in 1848 and as a
city in 1890.
Marker is at the intersection of Cedar Street and Denison Parkway East (New York Highway 352), on the right when traveling north on Cedar Street.
