Collier County Museum

Journey back over 10,000 years of Southwest Florida’s unique past at our Collier County Museum, Naples Depot, Museum of the Everglades, Immokalee Pioneer Museum, and Marco Island Historical Museum.

Permanent displays trace the history and development of Collier County from prehistoric times to the present with five acres of native gardens adorning the property. Exhibits on the Calusa and Seminole Indians describe the Native American heritage of the area. The museum also includes an exhibit on the role of Black Seminole Indians during the Second Seminole War (1835-1842). Escaped slaves from American plantations became allies of the Seminoles in their struggles with Americans.
