The-Bull-of-the-Woods

He’s the bull of the woods,

he’s a man never still,

if you say that you can’t,

he will say that you will.

He’s the heart of the job,

he knows all that is known

about bringing in logs

from the pines to Madrone.

He works on the skidder,

he works on the truck.

the fact that their running

just cannot be luck.

The loader, the dozer,

the water truck too,

respond to his touch

and again run like new.

The Bull needs good men

who can work in the woods,

who can handle the logs

and deliver the goods.

Who will work with a saw

in the dust and the dirt,

who continue to work

though they’re tired or they’re hurt.

While the bull is a man

that is hard, he is fair.

If a man needs a hand,

it’s the bull who is there.

Work and swear at the logs,

be a man as you should,

then you’ll know you have a friend

in The-Bull-of-the-Woods.
