(1751-1813)

The grave of this Revolutionary War patriot is near this site. A member of the Sons of Liberty, he participated in the burning of the brig “Peggy Stewart,” at Annapolis, October 19, 1774, and also served as a major in the Elkridge Battalion during the war.

Marker is at the intersection of Carrs Mill Road and Roxbury Mills Road (Maryland Route 97), on the right when traveling east on Carrs Mill Road.
