This battery, with 6 James Rifled guns, was engaged here at 11.15 a.m. April 6, 1862. It held the position only a few minutes when it was driven back losing four guns.
Marker is at the intersection of Sherman Road and Corinth-Pittsburg Landing Extension Road, on the left when traveling south on Sherman Road.
