East Hale Storefronts

The potential for commerce related to cotton payrolls attracted a robust cadre of Jewish merchants to Hale Avenue in the early 1900s. Harwarg's opened in "Old Town" before moving to "New Town," followed by Beehive's, Nickol's, and Weinberg's. Silverfield's (1915) operated over 80 years in downtown Osceola.

Marker is at the intersection of West Hale Avenue and Poplar Street, on the right when traveling east on West Hale Avenue.
