Federal Hospital
The 1865 home of Wm.
Smith, 100 yds. E., was
used as a hospital for
Union troops in the
Battle of Averasboro,
March 15-16, 1865.
Marker is at the intersection of Burnett Road (North Carolina Route 82) and Ross W Road (North Carolina Route 1801), on the left when traveling south on Burnett Road.
