Inspired by Florentine renaissance palaces and completed in 1924, this structure of Indiana limestone and Ohio sandstone with ironwork by Samuel Yellin was designed by York and Sawyer and built by Marc Eidlitz & Son, Inc. Five stories are below street level with subterranean vaults resting on bedrock.
