This tablet placed here by the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Virginia in the year 1930, commemorates the founding of the First Buck Mountain Church established under the authority of The Church of England and builded one mile west of here A.D. 1747.

Marker is on Earlysville Road (County Route 743) south of Advance Mills Road (County Route 663), on the right when traveling north.
