First Landing
Near here the first permanent English settlers in North America first landed on American soil, April 26, 1607. From here they went on to make the settlement at Jamestown. The brick lighthouse was built in 1791.
Marker is on Shore Dr (Route 60) north of Atlantic Ave, on the right when traveling north.
