This plaza is the gift of Gamma Chapter of Beta Theta Pi, the oldest chapter in continuous existence and the first chapter of a college social fraternity in Pennsylvania, to mark the 125th Anniversary of its founding in 1842 at Jefferson College.

Marker can be reached from South College Street (U.S. 19) near East Beau Street (Pennsylvania Route 136), on the right when traveling south.
