Gay Liberation Sculpture
In 1984, the George Segal sculpture, Gay Liberation, was placed on this site through the efforts of the gay and lesbian community and the New Harvest Foundation.
In 1991, the sculpture was moved to its original intended home in New York City's Christopher Park. It is missed.
This installation commemorates the sculpture and honors the ongoing liberation of lesbians and gay men.
Marker is at the intersection of Spaight Street and South Few Street, on the right when traveling east on Spaight Street.
