General N.B. Forrest's Command Position
General Forrest positioned himself in the area of the Inner Breastworks when he arrived on the morning of April 12, 1864. From here he could observe the Union fort which was visible from this point at the time of the Civil War.
Marker can be reached from Park Road (State Highway 207), on the right when traveling east.
