by the pupils of the
Passaic Public
Schools
with the generous
assistance of their
friends.

On the day of the erection
of this memorial
a bronze tablet was
set in the wall on lower
Main Avenue to mark
the site of Washington’s
Headquarters while he
was in Passaic.
