Gotthilf Heinrich Ernst Muhlenberg, S.T.B.
who, as a true shepherd, tended this congregation
with the Gospel of Christ for 35 years.
His spirit joyfully escaped its shell,
which collapsed here on the
23rd of May, 1815, in the 62nd year of his pilgrimage.
