Home of Robert Limehouse

Built Circa 1820

Originally this area was Limehouse farmland. The small scale and sturdy appearance denote that it is older than its neighbors. The bold colonade of piazza columns give the house dignity and permanence.

The exceptionally fine brickwork is laid in Flemish bond. The Egyptian design reflects interest in Napoleon’s Egyptian campaign.

Marker is on Limehouse Street, on the right when traveling south.
