Jackson’s Crossing
Here at Locust Dale, Stonewall Jackson's army crossed the river moving north to the Battle of Cedar Mountain, August 9, 1862. The Battle was fought a few hours later.
Marker is on James Madison Highway (U.S. 15), on the right when traveling south.
