LaBranche Buildings
On this site in 1734 stood the residence of François Fleuriau, Attorney General of the Superior Council of the French colony of Louisiana, a native of Rennes in Brittany. This building erected in 1840 as one of a group of eleven by Madame Mesasie Trepagnier, widow of Jean Baptiste LaBranche, a planter of St. Charles Parish.
Marker is at the intersection of Saint Peter Street and Royal Street on Saint Peter Street.
