Mary Patterson Memorial Building

This building was built in 1924 by local industrialist Monroe Patterson as a memorial to his late wife, Mary T. Patterson. The structure was a home for working women and served as such for many years. When the building closed, it was donated to Kent State University by the Patterson heirs in 2000. It is now a state of the art learning center featuring a community room and an art gallery.

Marker is on 4th Street 0 miles east of Washington Street when traveling west.
