Proceeding from Cumberland City to Fort Donelson, the brigade arrived at daylight, February 13, 1862, and at once occupied a position in support of Greene's Battery, on the left of Davidson's Brigade. The 20th Mississippi remained in reserve. During the entire day the troops were under fire. At midnight, General Pillow ordered the 20th Mississippi to relieve the 7th Texas Regiment in the trenches.

Marker is on Natcor Drive (County Route 943), on the right when traveling east.
