Morattico Baptist Church
On the hill is Morattico Church, organized in 1778, the mother Baptist church of the Northern Neck. The present building was erected in 1856. Lewis Lunsford, first pastor, is buried here.
Marker is at the intersection of Jessie Dupont Memorial Highway (Virginia Route 200) and Morattico Church Road (County Route 679), on the left when traveling north on Jessie Dupont Memorial Highway.
