Morgan-Manning House
A pioneer reaper industry was developed on the Erie Canal banks by William H. Seymore and Dayton S. Morgan. This 1854 dwelling became the Morgan family home in 1867. The eldest daughter, Sara, wife of Frederick A. Manning, M.D. lived in the house until her death in 1964. The house was deeded by the Landmark Society of Western New York to the Western Monroe Historical Society - 1968.
Marker is on Main Street, on the right when traveling north.
