Morris County Civil War Monument

(Front):Erected by the people of Morris County,

to perpetuate the memory of her soldiers and sailors,

who fell during the great Civil War.

(Back of Monument):In honor of our heroic dead,

who fell martyrs for Union and Liberty.

(Right Side):A grateful County mourns the loss

of those who fell in her defence.

(Left Side):Their memory shall never fade,

who fall in a just cause.

Marker is at the intersection of S Park Place (County Route 124) and E Park Place, on the left when traveling south on S Park Place.
