National Historic Landmark-Cornwall Iron Furnace

National Historic Landmark- Cornwall Iron Furnace

Cornwall Iron Furnace consists of three interrelated elements: the furnace and its associated buildings, the open pit mine, and a workers housing village.

Taken together, these three components exemplify the type of charcoal furnaces that produced most of America's iron until the 1850s.
