National Historic Landmark- Edgar Allen Poe House

From 1842 to 1844, this was the home of Edgar Allen Poe (1809-1849). Poe wrote some of his best-known short stories in this small brick cottage. In 1978, this became the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site.
