National Historic Landmark - Herbert & Katherine Jacobs 2nd House
This was the first house to be built under Wright's concept of the "Solar Hemicycle." Rooms were largely circular or semi circular, oriented towards the sun and protected from the north wind by berms. Wright's use of passive energy to heat the house preceded the "energy crisis" by thirty years.
