National Historic Landmark - Horseshoe Curve

Placed into service in 1854, Horseshoe Curve is a notable example of ante bellum railroad engineering and construction.

Its completion marked the joining of the eastern and western divisions of the Pennsylvania Railroad and contributed to the rise of that leading railroad.
