National Historic Landmark - Mabel Dodge Luhan House

This was the home of Mabel Ganson Evans Dodge Stern Luhan (1879-1962), an important paton of the arts.

For 40 years, Mabel Dodge Luhan nurtured the famous artistic community that centered on her Taos home.

During the 1920s and 1930s, hundreds of artists and writers visited and worked at this house; among the many pilgrims were D.H. Lawrence, Mary Austin, Willa Cather, Robinson Jeffers, Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, and Georgia O'Keefe.
